Session overview
Objectives
The session aims to take stock of the six-month evolution of the supervisory framework for sustainability risks, viewed as a set of mutually reinforcing building blocks rather than a collection of institution-specific outputs; to characterise the macro and political headwinds that are simultaneously creating uncertainty and inconsistency in that framework; and to identify the resulting challenges that the convergence of supervisory outcomes and political context poses to the financial sector.
Points of discussion
-
What are the main features of a consolidating framework for sustainability risks in a context of political headwinds
-
What are the main ways forward to reinforce the soundness of the financial sphere in sustainability risk context: data, scenarios, transition execution and protection gaps
