Objectives
With barely fifteen months to the end-2027 deadline, this round table treats 2027 not as a point of reckoning but as the decisive window in which the foundations now in place are finally converted into results for users. It will take stock of progress across segments and regions and ask how the final push should be prioritised. Panellists will weigh how the last-mile bottleneck and the end-to-end adoption of Swift standards can be overcome; how KPIs could be improved to capture end-user outcomes and steer implementation; how PvP protection can be extended to under-served currencies; and what focus DLT and tokenisation now require to deliver at scale within — not outside — the regulated system. It will also consider what the next-generation roadmap should prioritise, and how the work already under way to shape it can build on the current cycle rather than repeat it. The aim is a candid, forward-looking exchange on making 2027 the year cross-border payments improve where it matters — in users' hands — while setting the course for what comes after.
